The for Surfers On The Go
The laptop industry has seen a substantial bound in sales over recent years as more and more people have been very enthusiastic to stay linked while on the move. Although gadgets like the iPhone have provided that ‘connectivity fix’ for a lot of users there are in addition an alternative sub-set of users who require extra display space and keyboard ability to keep them hooked.
And then comes the smaller version of the laptop called a netbook. Considered mostly for surfing the netbook has become a colossal hit and the size, along with the lower cost, has been the key selling points.
And amongst some of the most in style netbooks are the NC10 Black from Samsung. In actuality since it was launched back in 2008 it has become one of the leading netbooks sold on the WWW.
Samsung seem to have latched onto the end consumer requirement especially well and their well designed NC10 Blue is proof to what a major manufacturer can do, and at a fraction of the cost of one of their much more expensive, and bigger, stablemates.
The NC10 comes in 4 colours. The usual Black, the pure White, the Blue for Boys and of course…yes you guessed it….the NC10 Pink for girls. They have made sure to cover all ages and gender.
They all have a very strong specification:
- Intel Atom processor
- 10.2 inch widescreen display is optimised to deliver a seamless visual experience
- Genuine Microsoft Windows XP Home
- Normal-size, notebook PC style keyboard, for easy typing
- Integrated 1.3 mega pixel digital motion camera
Once set up, it completes a backup of the initial setup so that you can always roll back to its previous state. You can download updates for Windows and it recommended I download Internet Explorer 7.
One weak point is the size of the touch pad, it’s not very big, but this is for the reason that the keyboard uses a large amount of the space. One more issue is that it has a single rocker button, so you can’t press both buttons at the same time.
